Bernadette has been a certified personal trainer for over seven years and has trained well over 100 clients of varying backgrounds, abilities and goals. Recently, Bernadette’s desire to continue learning and growing led her to enhance her skill set by obtaining a second degree from Central Penn College and becoming a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant. Through her new role, she has been able to use her skills from personal training and teaching at the Rec to help patients in a local PT clinic; and conversely, her expanded knowledge and experience from the PT clinic has broadened her ability to provide excellent care and service to her personal training clients.
In addition to her extensive education, running has been a passion of Bernadette’s for years and she has finished many races, from 5Ks to marathons, and also several obstacle races. This training and experience has led to her development of a large repertoire of boot camp-style workouts for group training sessions. Bernadette’s passion for running and continual learning keeps her on the forefront of fitness and affords her the opportunity to offer workouts that are fresh, bold, and designed to keep you focused.

“Hi” I’m Tracey, and have worked for the Ephrata Recreation Center since approximately 2012. During those years, I have earned a number of certifications including Zumba Gold, Basic I and II, Core Fitness, Group Exercise, Myofascial Foam Rolling, Bootcamp and Personal Trainer. Currently I am the Dance Gold Instructor for the Ephrata Recreation Center, of which I have instructed for 5 years. I am also currently a Personal Trainer, Fitness Studio attendant and occasional Building Supervisor.
My goal is to help beginners, women and youth get started in free weight strength training, learning proper weight lifting form, safety, how to target muscle groups, and how to incorporate a proper training schedule including sets and reps for their strength training workout.
I have a passion for free weight training and helping others reach their strength and fitness goals.

Her interest in fitness began when she was a participant in a wellness program which incorporated nutrition and physical training. She developed a passion for wanting to pay this knowledge forward to help others feel good about themselves.
Kim’s experience includes nine years as a group fitness instructor with the Ephrata Recreation Center. She is certified with Les Mills as a Body Pump instructor and has been leading water classes for all ages.
When not training, Kim enjoys spending time at the shore boating, clamming and biking with family and friends.

Always active as a High School athlete, April Albert began her fitness career journey in 2013 finding her passion while taking classes at the Rec. Soon after, she became a Personal Trainer in the Rec’s Biggest Loser Program and started instructing Group Fitness, Aquatic and Silver Sneaker classes. In 2014, April became the Ephrata Tidal Waves Dryland Coach and has expanded the program from the youngest members of the Tidal Waves to the oldest. She also is an “on deck” assistant coach alongside her husband and Head Coach, Tim Albert. In 2018, April was offered a newly created position as the Aquatics Fitness Coordinator An enthusiastic trainer, she enjoys walking people through their personal fitness and nutritional objectives. She finds the best part is watching them conquer the “little” things that help them obtain their goals. When April is not at the Rec teaching, she enjoys spending time with her husband and cheering on her 8 children in their activities and sporting events.

Roberta’s main goal is to train with respect, encouragement and support. Sports were always a big part of her life growing up in the Cocalico area. All through high school and college, she was active in sports and became a competitive runner. Running 5Ks helps keep Roberta focused, strong and healthy. She always pushes herself to reach new goals each year so that she stays accountable and never gets bored with her workout plan.
Roberta has the same thoughts in mind when it comes to her clients. She focuses on each individual’s needs, realizing that everyone’s training and diet will be different. Together, you will work to find the best, most effective training so that you meet YOUR goals. She currently instructs group fitness classes and an Evening Boot Camp group personal training program at the Rec. When she isn’t training or working out herself, she’s taking care of her four children. Roberta is a trainer who understands how tough it is to find time to exercise, but with the right mindset, she knows her clients can achieve it all.
