AMERICAN RED CROSS LIFEGUARD TRAINING

The Ephrata Rec Center offers American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification Courses several times a year. These courses are designed to prepare participants with the knowledge and skills needed to be a lifeguard, offering up-to-date information on how to guard, anticipate and prevent potential hazards before they occur and how to take action to help those in danger when necessary. Must be 15 years old by the last day of class to attend.

Friday May 17 4:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Saturday May 18 12:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Sunday May 19 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Wednesday May 29 PRETEST 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. (you may be dismissed after completing your test)
Friday June 7 4:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. 
Friday June 14 4:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Saturday June 15 12:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Sunday June 16 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Note: The Red Cross requires Re-cert students to present a valid Lifeguarding card at the first class session.


NOTE: Seven hours required online learning after the pre-requisites have been met. Strong swimming skills recommended.
