AMERICAN RED CROSS LIFEGUARD TRAINING

The Ephrata Rec Center offers American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification Courses several times a year. These courses are designed to prepare participants with the knowledge and skills needed to be a lifeguard, offering up-to-date information on how to guard, anticipate and prevent potential hazards before they occur and how to take action to help those in danger when necessary. Must be 15 years old by the last day of class to attend.

Friday Feb 24 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. (prerequisites)
Friday March 3  5:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m.
Saturday March 4 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Sunday March 5 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Friday April 7 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. (prerequisites)
Friday April 14  5:30 p.m.- 8:30 p.m.
Saturday April 15 12:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Sunday April 16 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Friday May 5 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. (prerequisites)
Friday May 12 5:30 p.m.- 8:30 p.m.
Saturday May 13 12:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Sunday May 14 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

FULL COURSE PRICING: 
Non-member: $325
Member: $275

Re-certification courses run same dates and times, but may dismiss early.
RE-CERTIFICATION PRICING: 
Non-member: $169
Member: $139
Note: The Red Cross requires Re-cert students to present a valid Lifeguarding card at the first class session.

NOTE: Seven hours required online learning after the pre-requisites have been met. Strong swimming skills recommended.
