MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION
Membership is year to date and is non-transferable, non-freezable and
non-refundable. Membership includes free use of all facilities
including the gym, fitness and weight rooms, and pool.
Racquetball courts
are available for a small fee. Discounts are offered on most
programs to members.
Upon joining the Ephrata Recreation Center, all members are issued a
personal membership card with photo ID. Your membership card is your
key to accessing The Rec. Please have your card ready to scan at our
front entrance. If you have forgotten your card, there is a $1.00
reference charge for entrance.
 The Rec realizes that cards can be
lost, stolen, or mutilated. The replacement cost for your membership
card is $8.00.
Participation in recreation or competitive activities entails some risk of
injury. The Rec does not provide medical or accidental injury insurance
coverage and is not responsible for your lost, stolen, or misplaced items.
We reserve the right to suspend and/or dismiss a member, without refund, for
unsuitable, destructive or criminal behavior. Abuse of your membership
can result in revocation without refund.
Membership Descriptions
Preschool: Up to 5 years of age. At least
one (1) parent must be a member in order for a preschooler to be eligible
to receive the member rate for classes. The primary legal residence of the
preschooler must be in the home of the parent(s) who has the Rec
membership.
Student: Kindergarten thru 12th grade.
Young Adult: Ages 18-22 years.
Adult: 23 years of age or older.
Family: Husband & Wife. Husband & Wife &
Children, up to 22 years of age, who legally reside in the home as their
primary residence.
Senior: 62 years of age or older.
Senior Couple: One of the party must be 62
years of age or older.
Note: The following applies to all payment plans and payment types:
- Couples with different last names must show proof of a joint
checking/savings account with address, at time of purchase to qualify for
a family or senior couple membership, regardless of payment type.
- Children who are full time college students may remain on a family
membership until 22 years of age; but must show a current class schedule,
minimum 12 credits, at time of purchase.
- Families with legal guardianship, foster or adopted children must show
court orders, foster or adoption documents at time of purchase.
- Foreign Exchange and/or Fresh Air students can be added to a family
membership. Any other Exchange and/or Fresh Air Students must contact the
Executive Director.
Membership Rates
The following rates are valid for memberships beginning January 1, 2008.
The Platinum membership offers unlimited aerobics, aquatic fitness, group
cycling, yoga, racquetball, youth fitness classes, and babysittings.

Sign Up for Membership
You may purchase memberships online or you can print off a membership
application below, fill it out, and bring in to the Ephrata Rec Center's Front
Desk. All major credit cards are accepted for annual memberships.
In addition the front desk also accepts MAC, personal check, or cash.
Payments can also be setup using Electronic Funds Transfer. This is
an annual membership, paid by monthly
charges that will automatically come out of your designated bank account. *You
must apply for EFT's at the front desk, not online. There
is a one-time processing fee (equal to one month's rate) due as part of your first payment to begin an EFT
membership.
